The Vallee du Rhone
The Vallee du Rhone
The Rhône Valley is one of the largest French wine regions with more than 70,000 hectares of vineyards that develops along the river of the same name, starting near Lyon in the north and descending to the city of Avignon in the south.
Oenologically it is divided into two large districts, the Northern Rhone (Rhone Septentrionale) and the Southern Rhone (Rhone Méridionale) which produce wines that are very different from each other in terms of style, blends, and prestige. Cote-Rotie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Cornas are some of the northern appellations, Cotes du Rhone, Chateauneuf du Pape, Tavel, Beaumes de Venise some of the southern ones.
Guided by the President Vito Intini we will discover and taste the most representative denominations of this magnificent region.
