The unexplored beauties of Naples.The Astrons between life and nature

On the occasion of World Earth Day, the “Astroni Crater State Nature Reserve” and the “Astroni Cellars” decided to organize a double tour to show all the hidden beauties that are found in the world of Astrons.
The ancient volcanic crater of the Astroni used in ancient times as a Bourbon hunting reserve, later used as a weapons depot, for some years recognized as an Oasis and WWF Nature Reserve, together with the lands of the “Cantine Astroni”present a real cultural heritage hidden within the Phlegraean Fields.
A story that should be recognized and told more than ever.
This is why the two companies decided to dedicate an event to these hidden wonders. And why not do so on the occasion of the World Earth Day.
A cultural and gastronomic event that will accompany visitors to discover the forest of Astroni and the adjoining wineries with, in conclusion, a tasting of wines obtained in the lands between the fire and the sea.
The tour includes: guided tour of the Astroni Natural Oasis and visit to the Cellars of the Astrons.
HOURS 10.00 – FIRST PART: the route will be entirely on foot. Access to the Oasis.
You will follow the entire Bourbon path until you reach the bottom of the Crater; along the path you can also see life-size reproductions of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. From the middle path you can take the narrow streets to visit the volcanic lakes and other hidden treasures.
The ascent from the crater will be carried out thanks to the shuttle service.
NB: the route includes differences in altitude and unevenness not suitable for people with reduced mobility. You can access with dogs only if kept on a leash.

12.30 – SECOND PART: Cantine Astroni, access to the cellar.
Guided tour in the vineyards of the “Cantine Astroni” where you can admire the crater seen
from above. The visit continues in the wine rooms and in the historic cellar. It ends with a tasting of three wines: Colle Rotondella (Piedirosso Doc) Colle Imperatrice
(Falanghina Doc) Astro (Spumante Brut).
At the end of the tour, it will be possible to stop in the cellar with the possibility of
local finger food base or lunch (extra charge)
