The charm of Sicily on stage in Taormina SCIARM from 26 to 27 March in the evocative setting of the fourteenth-century palace, Duca di Santo Stefano, headquarters of the “Giuseppe Mazzullo” Foundation. Organized by Sicilia da Gustare, in collaboration with Pietro D’Agostino chef, patron of “La Capinera” and president of ACT, Taormina traders’ association, at “Taormina SCIARM” (acronym of flavours, culture, innovation, art, rites, innovation and melting point) the different areas of the journeys of taste. “ For ten years they have been making known with our guide – he explains Carmelo Pagano, publisher of Sicily to taste- the values of gastronomic traditions thanks to the main players on this stage which represents the added value of the island’s tourist offer”.
From 26 to 27 March, wine, food, experiences to be enjoyed and enjoyed in a rich program (info, bookings on the website…) The numbers: more than 30 wineries Sicilians will combine their labels with the chefs’ dishes and enhance their flavours. The tasting counters will be an opportunity to get to know the producers and learn more about their production philosophy and to taste their wines, more than 60 chefs from Sicilian haute cuisine including 10 starred chefs, 40 pizza makers from all over Sicily and among them 2 World Pizza Champions and 10 pizza makers who took part in Casa Sanremo. They will present their creations, sharing their cooking philosophy and their way of interpreting excellent raw materials with visitors. Present the “artisans” of taste who will be able to taste their products.
Space for the masterclasses that will take place between Palazzo Duca di Santo Stefano and the Hotel Excelsior. Four masterclasses dedicated to wine with: Sunday 26 h.17, 00 Palazzo Duchi di Santo Stefano: “The whites of the East Side, between past and future” with the companies Biondi, Barone di Villagrande, Murgo, Gambino, Cantine Nicosia, Tenuta Mannino di Plachi, Terra Costantino. Speakers: Federica Milazzo and Salvatore Spampinato. Sunday 26 March, at the same time as the Hotel Excelsior, the masterclass of “Nero D’Avola and its territorial nuances” will be protagonist with the companies Baglio Bonsignore, Casa Grazia, Cristo di Campobello, Di Giovanna Wine, Feudi Maccari, Giasira, Gulfi, Mandrarossa, Ramaddini.
