13th Independent winemakers’ wine market
13th Independent winemakers’ wine market
APPOINTMENT AT BOLOGNAFIERE FROM 23 TO 25 NOVEMBER 2024
Following the success of the first Bolognese edition of the Independent Winemakers’ Wine Market, FIVI and BolognaFiere announce the dates of the next edition: Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th and Monday 25th November 2024.
If the expectations for the 12th edition, which recently ended, were high, the numbers recorded were equally satisfactory: 985 winemakers and more than 26 thousand admissions distributed over the three days, 2 associations of foreign winemakers and 29 olive growers from the FIOI – Italian Federation of Independent Olive Growers, which has already confirmed its participation in the 2024 edition, renewing a strategic alliance between agricultural producers.
“After this first edition in Bologna – declares Lorenzo Cesconi, FIVI President –, our commitment is dedicated to creating a 2024 Wine Market that lives up to everyone’s expectations: winemakers, enthusiasts, operators. We have learned a lot and know exactly what needs to be fine-tuned and improved. For FIVI, the Wine Market is a sort of concrete manifesto of our values and our associative objectives: this is why we take care of it with so much attention and with the same passion with which we work our vineyards and produce our wines. And this is what makes it unique among the many Italian wine events.”
Adds BolognaFiere, with the Director of Direct Events, Domenico Lunghi: “The debut of the Independent Winemakers’ Wine Market in Bologna was very positive. Even though we were only able to communicate in the spring, therefore with a few months’ notice, that the event would move to Bologna, we encountered enthusiastic support for the new project from the exhibitors, who also helped us to invite many their qualified customers. The visitors, in addition to appreciating the offer of the numerous wineries and oil producers present, expressed very favorable feedback on the context in which the event was organised. The good outcome of this first Bolognese edition was also sanctioned by the good participation of the public in the “off” initiatives that we promoted in the city of Bologna, together with Confcommercio Ascom and AMO: we can affirm that the FIVI Market, its cellars and its values have been enthusiastically embraced by the entire community. The collaboration started with FIVI is only at the beginning, but the Wine Market has already carved out a central role for itself in the complex calendar of events that BolognaFiere – a unique case in Italy – makes available to the agri-food sector, thus representing ever more clearly the leading exhibition center for food and beverage catering”.
If the new exhibition spaces have made it possible to arrange the stands in large and pleasant pavilions, bright and low in noise, perfect for the festive atmosphere loved by winemakers, FIVI and BolognaFiere are already working to find the best organizational solutions, in light of the experience this year.
