Weinfest steinhude 2021. On the first weekend of June, from 4 to 6 June, winemakers from all over Germany show up in the historic Scheunenviertel on the idyllic Steinhuder Meer and invite you to a wine tasting like every year. With the renovation of the Scheunenviertel during EXPO 2000, the reconstruction of a former village complex was successful and made this place a popular excursion and recreation destination not only for tourists.
During the 11th Wine Festival, visitors can try the current vintage wines on Friday from 5pm and discover the traditional winemaking and uniqueness of German wine regions. Solid dishes such as Alsatian tarte flambée, various meat dishes and Tyrolean delicacies are offered to accompany the wine. There are also different types of cheese and both sweet and savory delicacies, such as lángos, pretzels or fresh crêpes with various side dishes. This time around, the Wilker Brewery’s various homemade beer specialties, ranging from fruity, sweet to hot and spicy, provide even more variety. Although this weekend the focus is on wine: of course there are also drinks for all those who prefer to stay at zero per thousand.
The diverse entertainment program at this year’s wine festival will be opened by DJ and presenter Herby on Friday evening at 5pm. With its mix of good-humored old-time music, current charts and hits, it satisfies almost any visitor’s wishes, invites you to dance and entertains wine lovers on Pentecost weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday, the festivities in the Scheunenviertel begin in the morning at 11 am with the opening of the craft market, which gives the wine festival a village character. From wood and metal works for the home and garden, decorative and ceramic objects to unusual jewelry creations and modern textile design, there is still a lot to discover.
At the end of Sunday, visitors have the chance to visit the craft market from 11am and try the current vintage wines at the winemakers’ stands. The winemakers are available for a personal interview to report on winemaking in their family business.
At the wine festival, visitors can try the latest vintage wines and learn about the traditional wine production and uniqueness of the German wine-growing regions. In keeping with the wine, hearty dishes such as Alsatian tarte flambee, various meat dishes and Tyrolean delicatessen are offered. There are also various cheeses and sweet as well as hearty treats such as Langos, pretzels or fresh crepes with various side dishes. The variety of self-brewed beer specialties from the Wilker brewery , which range from fruity, sweet to spicy, make for a further change . Even if the wine is in focus this weekend: Of course, there are also drinks for those who prefer to stay at zero per thousand. Provided fresh grape juice, special coffees and many refreshing drinks.
