The Independent Winegrower cultivates his vineyards, vinifies his grapes, bottles his wine and personally takes care of the sale of the same, under his own responsibility, with his name and his label.
It carries out its activity in the form of a single or associated agricultural company and in the exercise of its work operates in compliance with the Italian sector laws (art. 2135 of the CC and art. 32 of the TUIR). It does not buy grapes and / or wine for commercial purposes.
The Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers today has more than 1,300 members and aims to represent the figure of the Winemaker in front of the institutions. FIVI communicates with the MIPAAF in Rome and with the European Parliament in Brussels through CEVI, the European Confederation of Independent Winegrowers, which brings together the associations of independent winemakers from all the main European wine-producing countries. Participates in wine development policies on a local, national and European scale. It proposes economic measures and legislative norms in the interest of the Independent Winegrowers.
